December 2007, Jody was commissioned by the “Squamish & Lil’Wat Cultural
Centre”, Whistler, BC. Jody hand carved and painted the Grand Entry
wooden doors, which stand at 8 feet tall by 4 feet wide (3 total), in
collaboration with Lil’Wat Artists. Location: Whistler, BC
July 2008, Jody was commissioned by “Ledingham & McAllister”to hand
carved a 15-foot tall “Salmon Salish House Post” from an Old Growth Red
Cedar log. As well as four – 5 feet long by 3 feet tall metal “Salish
Salmon Sculptures”. Location: Marine Drive and McKay Avenue, North
Vancouver, BC.
February 2009. Jody was commissioned by the City of West Vancouver to
carve a 15 foot tall by 3 feet wide, red cedar, Salish House Post at the
newly renovated West Vancouver Recreation Centre, Marine Drive and 21st
Street. The design featured 4 faces representing “Multi-culturism &
Unity” Location: West Vancouver Community Centre, Vancouver, BC.
June 2009, Jody was commissioned, by the Vancouver Convention Center
Expansion Plan. Provided Salish designs for 2 - 9 feet tall glass
sculptures and are on display in the Salish Art gallery. The designs
feature 2 Squamish Legends. Location: Vancouver Convention Center,
Vancouver, BC.
September 2009, Jody was commissioned by Tom Lee Music, to paint a
Steinway & Sons Model B Grand Piano. This Piano toured at multiple
events and concerts during the Vancouver 2010 Olympics. Sold for
$500,000 cdn. with partial proceeds benefiting the British Columbia
Lions Society for Children with Disabilities. Location: Sunshine Coast,
BC.
October 2010, Jody was commissioned by Ledingham & McAllister to design
and supply 12 – 3 foot long stainless steel salmon cutouts, which were
installed for a water fountain feature, located at the front entrance of
the highrise apartment. The second part of this project, were to design
and supply 8 aluminum salmon gate designs, installed for the townhouses
at this location. Location: Burnaby, BC.
