The Bear Clan
medicine spirit world is the essence of this painting. Bear teacher
rests after eating a quantity of fish. He begins to fall asleep
under the spell of satisfaction and contentment. Bear starts to
dream and sees himself changing form represented by the butterflies.
Now astro-travelling, he sits by a council in the spirit world. Wolf
Clan is represented teaching the necessity for global unity. Bear is
also now communicating with an elder, a grand shaman in the spirit
world. This grand shaman with wings represents his duty as wisdom
keeper of the seven generations to come. To share vital information
with this representitive of the Bear Clan so that when these future
generations of medicine people are born, they will have sacred
wisdom to help the people in this future time. I say thank you to

from unwanted pain and suffering. We crawl back into our Earth
Mother's womb and expeirnce suffering from the Creator's breath in a
good way to bring about fresh perspective. To humble ourselves and
show thankfulness and gratitude for all of creation. The four fish
in this painting represent the four directions. The moose teaches
the gratitude we have for strengthening our families and communities
for all that this clan offers. The thunderbird at the top of this
painting represents the guardianship of the western door way. A
place which opens the way for transformation of one's self, bringing
wholeness in awareness, understanding, knowledge and wisdom.

wisdom of our Creator. Dependence on the Creator of our universe brings
